A Simple Turquoise and Coral Wedding at The Weingarten in Belleville, Illinois
From the wine-cork-filled aisle decor to the wrapped bottle centerpieces, everything about Rebecca Miller (24 and a student) and Tyler Miller’s (29 and a nurse) simple vineyard wedding reflected their setting with a personal touch. Misty Nolan Photography documented the turquoise and coral-detailed day, which began with an outdoor ceremony and ended in a tented dance party at The Weingarten in Belleville, Illinois. The couple worked with Signed Sealed Delivered Events to put together the outdoor and indoor celebration as well as filled their wedding with bright DIY accents. “I did all the decorations myself, so I kept things simple but pretty,” Rebecca says. She designed mason jars wrapped with blue and glitter ribbons for the ceremony aisle. Each bright accent was filled with wine corks and topped with fun blue tissue paper in the shape of a flower. Rebecca also handmade turquoise and coral-rope-wrapped wine-bottle centerpieces. A single carnation in the opposite hue was placed in each bottle. This pop of color also complemented the couple’s cake. Wedding Wonderland Cakes baked a four-tier square confection for the couple with a subtle vine detail along two tiers. The base of three tiers was complemented with a blue ribbon to match Rebecca and Tyler’s wedding colors. The bride shares a tip for the taking: “The easiest thing to say, but hardest thing to actually do, is to not stress about it. I tried to take a laid-back approach to the whole thing, but secretly hoped and prayed that everything would go perfectly. Make a checklist and start crossing things off as you complete them. Just remember that this is your day. A lot of time and preparation goes into this one day, and it's over before you know it. Enjoy yourselves, have fun and celebrate the love you have for each other.”
