A Simple Spring Wedding at Antebellum Oaks in Austin, Texas

Linden McCoy (30 and a librarian) and Nathan Joiner (30 and an implementation consultant/ accountant) met while working at a little local pizza restaurant. Nathan asked Linden for her phone number on her birthday, and they’ve been together ever since. Nathan proposed in their hometown of Austin during a sunset walk through Lakeway Park. The bride is a cancer survivor and the groom was her rock through it all, which made their special day even more special for their family and friends. The wedding took place at Antebellum Oaks in Austin, Texas. Linden wanted an outdoor venue because she feels most spiritual when she is surrounded by nature. Antebellum Oaks was chose for its big oak trees and rustic, elegant feel. One of the most special details at the Linden and Nathan’s wedding was a slideshow of pictures of the couple through the years, compiled by the groom’s father. The bride wanted natural, fresh spring colors so she chose a palette of greens and yellows. Linden's advice to future couples: "Just have fun with it! Keep in mind that this is 'your day,' but it also means so much to your friends and family. Consider the things that make them happy and comfortable."
