A Simple, Sentimental Wedding at Bedford Columns in Bedford, Virginia
Meg Dailey (28 and a teacher) and Joe Mikhail (29 and an engineer) met through mutual friends at a barn party. The day after the party, Meg was planning on going to an interview in northern Virginia, where Joe lived. Joe took her out on that day and they've been together ever since. After dating for two years, Joe proposed to Meg in her hometown of Lynchburg, Virginia. The couple decided to get married at the Cloverdale Church of the Brethren in Cloverdale, Virginia. This is the same church where Meg's parents and grandparents were married. The following reception was held at Bedford Columns in Bedford, Virginia. "Our wedding style was a combination of simple and sentimental." DIY centerpieces of silk flowers in painted coral and navy vases sat on silver tables arranged with silver chiavari chairs. Meg designed her bouquet herself, with hydrangeas, calla lilies and ranunculus. Wedding attire was classic, with the groomsmen in gray suits with navy ties and the bridesmaids in one shoulder navy dresses from Weddington Way. Meg wore a beautiful mermaid style Maggie Sottero dress, which she bought at Church Street Bridal, a charitable organization whose profits go to YWCA. Instead of favors, Meg and Joe donated to ASPCA, the organization where Joe got his pet dog. Meg and Joe's simple wedding was truly personal, with DIY touches and sentimental details.
