A Simple, Rustic Wedding at Limoneira Ranch in Santa Paula, California

Ashley Avina (26 and a freelance hairstylist) and Meggan Kohn (31 and a director for an after-school program) met when they both started working at Starbucks and instantly became friends. Neither one of them had thought of the other in a romantic way until a year and a half later, while they were out at a bar. The couple had their outdoor rustic wedding at Limoneira Ranch in Santa Paula, California, which they had discovered even before Meggan proposed. Ashley wore an ivory lace wedding dress with a crotchet shawl, and Meggan donned a white blazer with purple pants that matched the wedding day colors. They each held a bouquet filled with sunflowers and white daisies accented with baby’s breath wrapped in burlap. Instead of a traditional guest book, the couple had guests pose with props and take a picture at their photo booth to keep. There was no seating chart at the reception, which allowed guests to choose their own seats and also have the chance to mingle with others. “Our entire day was very reflective of us! It was a very intimate and personable setting because everyone who was there was very supportive and meant a lot to us,” says the couple.
