Angela Curcuru and Travis Siewers knew exactly what they wanted for their wedding day—paper fans with tiny red dots and recycled bottles filled with red poppies—adding a super personalized feel we can't help but love! With white linens and simple, eclectic centerpieces, Angela and Travis pulled inspiration from their organic surroundings for the decor. "Jackson Hole is stunningly beautiful, rife with wildlife and outdoor activities,” Angela says. “It was also a location that most of our wedding guests had not visited. We knew we wanted an outdoor wedding, and where better than one of America’s most pristine landscapes? It was also a special tribute to Travis’s family and hometown.” Angela knew she wanted bunting, paper fans and recycled bottles throughout the decor, and Susan Bullock of Jackson Hole Flower filled added a quirky array of colorful flowers. “Planning a wedding is so much fun, but also can be very overwhelming,” Angela says. “I think our biggest inspiration was the outdoors. We tried to focus on doing what resonated for us as a couple. We let the gorgeous terrain and the beautiful property shine by keeping the decor relatively minimal." There are so many details we love! See them all, beautifully captured by Hannah Hardaway Photography, below. A tip from Angela: “Right before my dad walked me down the aisle, he gently asked that we take our time—such a sweet and cherished moment. Take your time going down the aisle. It can be so easy to rush with all the excitement and nerves.”

Angela carried white clematis, white anemones, white garden roses, burgundy mums and wildflowers in her textured bouquet. Susan Bullock of Jackson Hole Flower created all the florals for the day using the stunning natural surroundings as inspiration.
Angela and Travis decided to have a pretty loose dress code for their wedding party, so everyone would be comfortable and feel like themselves at the backyard wedding. The bridesmaids were asked to pick something light blue, and they ended up matching one another perfectly.
Angela’s nieces and nephews served as flower girls for the intimate wedding. “They truly added adorable charm and playfulness to the entire day,” Angela says. She loved the rosette-covered skirt of one of their dresses.
Angela and Travis’s adorable dog, Chickadee, a Vizsla-Carolina hound mix, made a guest appearance at the backyard wedding. He donned a black-and-white bandana to go with the shabby-chic wedding theme.
“We knew we wanted to share an adventure with our wedding guests, and we wanted the location to reflect our love of the outdoors,” Angela says.
“Our ceremony was so much fun,” Angela says. “True to our beliefs, it was a spiritual yet nonreligious ceremony. One of our best friends, and our former roommate, officiated with such grace and love, and just the right amount of humor. Right as we had our kiss, Johnny Cash’s ‘Ring of Fire’ started playing, which kicked off the rest of our unforgettable evening.”
Guests filled out white cards with their names and well wishes for the newlyweds before tying them to a baby tree for an organic escort card display.
A Simple, Rustic Reception in Wyoming
“There were a few elements I knew I wanted to incorporate: simple paper-flag streamers, handheld white crinkle fans covered in teeny red dots and my collection of recycled bottles in various shapes and sizes,” Angela says. “Our florist and family friend, Susan Bullock of Jackson Hole Flower, filled the bottles with a quirky array of colorful flowers, including bright red poppies and white anemones with plum centers—my favorites. The result was playful yet relaxed and really let the natural surroundings shine.”

“I can’t forget to mention our lovely little wedding cake and our traditional strawberry shortcake bar,” Angela says. “We knew fairly early that we wanted strawberry shortcake, and Monica Seip and the Jackson Cake Company created the beautiful and delicious desserts, which added even more charm to the easy summer atmosphere. A good friend made a mini-flag streamer as a cake topper to replicate the large ones strung around the property—one of my favorite details.”
