A Simple, Outdoor Wedding in Angel Fire, New Mexico

Michael (29 and a nursing administrator) and Shannon (29 and a optician) met one another online just as many couples do today. Despite being 2 hours apart, it only took them a few weeks to decide they were right for one another. After 11 months together, Michael completely surprised Shannon by proposing. He made a book of memories from their relationship and asked "will you marry me" right on the last page. Shannon was so stunned it took her 5 minutes to compose herself enough to say yes! The couple wanted to have a destination wedding without it being on the beach. They decided on the Angel Fire Resort in Angel Fire, NM as the perfect location for their wedding because of the beautiful scenery and its close proximity to their home in Oklahoma. Continuing with the outdoor theme, Shannon decided on a color palette consisting of blues, greens and whites. Because of the surrounding scenery, the couple chose not to decorate their ceremony. "We wanted it to be a celebration of our love with our friends and family and we wanted an intimate event to do that," Shannon said. Michael and Shannon's simple, outdoor wedding made for a perfect day for the new couple to share their love with their guests.
