A Simple, Modern Wedding at the Multicultural Arts Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts

Ian Shin (30 and a graduate student) and Peter Hill (28 and a project manager) had their wedding in Cambridge, Massachusetts, a city that held many of their firsts: their first Christmas tree, their first time cooking a lobster, even their first weeklong SimCity binge! The couple wanted to keep their wedding fresh and light, so they chose a bright lime green color palette for the wedding decorations and used fruit for the centerpieces as a whimsical twist. Twelve different types of fruit bought from a local farmers market were displayed in clear cylindrical vases at the center of each table, adding a fun pop of color to the wedding decor. "Best of all, this part of the decoration was sustainable: We asked the caterer to take the leftover fruit to a local soup kitchen so that folks in need could use it," Peter says.
