A Simple Modern Wedding at the Capital Grille in Denver, Colorado

Taylor Bobinchuck (30 and an artist) and Jason Simenson (37 and a professional landscaper) met through mutual friends, but it wasn't until three years later that they began dating. "Once we got together, everything moved quickly, but we were loving every new step in our relationship together," says Taylor. Nine months into their relationship, Taylor found out she was pregnant, which spurred the happy couple to start planning their future together. Jason officially popped the question three months before the couple said their "I do's." Planning their wedding in such a short amount of time and in the month of January to boot, the couple ran into some limitations when it came to their venue, but they couldn't have been happier with the result. The historic D&F Clock Tower in downtown Denver happened to be free and offered a unique setting for their nuptials. Taylor and Jason kicked off the evening with an intimate ceremony right behind the face of the clock, followed by a cocktail hour with spectacular views of the city on the clocktower's 22nd floor. The newlyweds and their guests then headed to the Capital Grille, just a few blocks away, for a night of dinner and dancing. While the couple kept the decor understated, arrangements of white and yellow anemones, tulips, hydrangeas and craspedia added a fresh pop of color and a modern note to the tabletops. To make the day even more memorable, the couple announced the sex of their baby by way of their wedding cake. When they cut into it, they revealed blue-speckled cake!
