A Simple, Intimate Wedding on Valentine's Day at Santa Barbara Courthouse in Santa Barbara, California
Sandy Eckel and Paul Lang met while they were in high school and continued to date ever since. When the couple took a trip to Paris, and one night they were taking a walk in the park. As the sun was setting, Paul asked Sandy to marry him. They celebrated afterwards with warm chocolate croissants and enjoyed the rest of the trip together. Sandy and Paul had their private elopement on Valentine’s Day with one guest attending. The couple chose to have their ceremony at the Santa Barbara Courthouse in Santa Barbara, California because of the beautiful venue. They kept the wedding day d?cor very casual and simple with a color palette of white, gray, peach and pink. Sandy wore a knee-length ivory wedding dress accented with lace accented with a belt and veil that she created. She wore her grandmother and aunt’s jewelry that had been passed down to her, and wore a white wool jacket over her dress for the finishing touch. Paul wore a gray suit with red heart decorated socks, along with a tie clip given to him by Sandy. Following the ceremony, the couple and their guest cut their ivory wedding cake on location and enjoyed each other’s company.
