A Simple, Intimate Wedding at Williams Cottage Inn in Beach Haven, New Jersey

From the lilac details to the two-tier wedding cake, April Sicknick (35 and a receptionist) and Dominick Spina’s (29 and a business owner) intimate wedding was just the right mix of simple and sweet. Jaye Kogut Photography captured every moment as the couple started their day with a ceremony overlooking the ocean. Their four guests watched from the beach as April made her entrance in a strapless Paloma Blanca wedding dress with ruching throughout the gown. A custom beaded belt accented her waist, as she finished the look with a hint of color. April carried an arrangement of purple delphiniums and white roses as their stems were gathered in a large white ribbon. Dom waited for her by their officiant in a lilac shirt, matching purple tie and white rose boutonniere to her bouquet. After a coral and purple unity-sand tradition, all went inside Williams Cottage Inn for a reception that highlighted their venue’s vintage charm. “The Inn was elegant and felt so grand without taking away from the low-key and intimate atmosphere we wanted,” April says. The couple and their guests enjoyed champagne, a two-tier wedding cake with lilac rosettes and conversation on the venue’s porch before ending the night at a local restaurant. For future couples, April shares a tip: “Do whatever it is that makes the both of you happy. It is your day, and only you two should really have a say in how to share it with others.”
