A Simple Intimate Wedding at Churchill's Pub in Savannah, Georgia
Robyne Fantroy (26 and a Research Analyst) and Derek Griffin (30 and a truck driver) met at McLennan Community College in Waco, TX where they were both studying at the time. "Derek said that it was love at first sight, but I, on other hand was a little skeptical about such a thing," says Robyne. The two became friendly, but Robyne just wasn't ready to commit. Despite Robyne turning him down several times over the years, Derek never gave up hope. The two finally got together six years after their first meeting and became inseparable. Derek popped the question two years later over dinner at the restaurant where they had their very first date. The couple planned an intimate affair with their closest family members and friends in downtown Savannah, GA at Churchill's Pub. While the two call Texas home, a destination wedding allowed Derek's younger brother, who was stationed at Fort Stewart, to attend. Churchill's Pub itself, was loacted in a beautiful, historic area of Savannah and received rave reviews for its Southern hospitality. Robyne and Derek exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony in a cozy room, 10 Downing, on the second floor of the venue, before moving outdoors for a night of dinner and dancing on the adjacent rooftop terrace.
