A Simple Hotel Wedding at The Ritz-Carlton Kapalua in Maui, Hawaii

Katherine Ward (25 and a registered nurse) and Adam Keck (34 and an account executive) found each other online, and one movie night and another taco date later, they knew it was meant to be. Adam told Katherine they were going to meet his sister for wine tasting at JM Cellars, Katherine’s favorite winery. When they got there, Adam mentioned his sister was running late and asked the staff if they could drink some wine. They led Katherine and Adam to a private area lit by candles and surrounded by vintage wines. Adam started reading tasting notes on sheet of paper out loud, then asked Katherine to read the next part. It was a long paragraph promising eternal love and happiness, which ended with “Will you marry me?” The couple decided to have a destination wedding at The Ritz-Carlton Kapalua in Maui, Hawaii after they visited the location shortly after they were engaged. They kept the color palette clean with white, blue and gray. Simple ivory orchids and roses were in the bouquets, centerpieces and any other additional flower décor throughout the wedding day. The ceremony was held at a spot overlooking the surrounding oceanic views, and the cocktail hour and reception was in the Anuenue Room, where the celebration continued throughout the night. “After dinner, the group spent the night dancing and enjoying slices of fresh strawberry and cream cake and an assortment of the groom's favorite cake pop flavors,” says Katherine.
