A Simple, Elegant Wedding at Antebellum Oaks Venue in Austin, Texas

Kasie Dudley (35 and a teacher) and Nathan Howell (28 and an IT consultant) wanted a simple, elegant wedding. That’s why Antebellum Oaks Venue was the perfect spot. The gorgeous mansion framed by large trees put them at ease and provided pretty spaces for their celebration outdoors and indoors. “Everything about it was beautiful,” Kasie says. “It put our minds at peace that there would be a backup place for our ceremony in place of rain, which we ended up needing.” Kasie’s father made a wooden cross that stood as the focal point of their heartfelt ceremony, complete with a family rope that added detail and held extra-special meaning. Later, guests dined on a delicious buffet by Bill Miller BBQ—what could be more Texan than brisket, chicken and potato salad? Kasie's advice to future couples: “Plan your wedding for you. There are so many traditions people get bogged down with.
