A Simple, Electic Wedding at La Jolla Woman's Club in San Diego, California

Lauren David (25 and in fund-raising) and Chris David (25 and an engineer) loved the private, outdoor environment at the La Jolla Woman's Club in San Diego where they used white and yellow colors with sparkling and silver accents to create an eclectic, rustic space with glamorous touches. "We chose the La Jolla Woman’s Club because of the gorgeous garden, proximity to our home and the beach and its privacy," Lauren says. Bryan N. Miller Photography captured the beautiful wedding day from the outdoor ceremony with whimsical touches to the indoor, simple reception. Lauren credits Mia Bella Couture in Del Mar, California, for helping with all the wedding-day fashions. "From my dress to my shoes and the bridesmaid dresses, they found it all," she says. She wore an Allure Bridal wedding dress with beading and lace detailing while her bridesmaids wore floor-length, taupe dresses in mismatched styles. Lauren admits that choosing a theme for the day's decor was not too important to them, but that they eventually landed on a white and ivory color palette with pops of yellow and a rustic, glam look. "We liked the eclectic, rustic feel but also wanted just a touch of rustic glam," she says. They paired the white dahlia, yellow rose and baby's breath centerpieces with mercury glass and silver-framed table numbers to add the glamorous touches. The wedding's florist, Haydee's Creative Flowers, really followed Lauren's vision for the flowers and created pieces of decor that really stood out. "My favorite floral piece of hers were the hanging vases from the tree with the little yellow flowers and baby’s breath in them," Lauren says. "Those with the chandelier really made the ceremony special." Lauren and Chris, self-proclaimed foodies, really focused on making sure the food was delicious. "We also had the cookie bar, which really felt like it reflected our passion for sharing food, made with love by our family and friends," she says.
