Heather, 32, a teacher, and Brady, 26, a first responder, met through a mutual coworker. The couple used blue as their main color, which was inspired by the blue line representing the family bond of police officers since Brady graduated from the police academy for the Colorado Springs Police Department right before the wedding. They included burlap details to pull in a rustic vibe to their classic Colorado wedding. The couple exchanged vows in an intimate outdoor ceremony with 75 guests. To keep the wedding low-key, they did all everything themselves, from making the bouquets to cooking dinner. The had a fun, simple, intimate wedding at the Garden of the Gods.

Brady proposed with a square-cut diamond engagement ring with smaller diamonds on the sides.
Heather gathered the flowers for the bouquets the morning of the wedding, and put them together. She chose colorful daisies and lilies wrapped in burlap.
Heather and Brady served cupcakes topped with purple, orange, yellow and white sugar flowers.
Heather and Brady enjoyed a one-tier white wedding cake decorated with different colored daisies.
“This location was perfect for us because it was an ideal Colorado backdrop as well as providing a low-key atmosphere,” Heather says.
Brady’s two children served as the ring bearer and flower girl for the initiate outdoor wedding. “The flower girl, our sweet daughter, wore a beautiful tutu dress with fluff the size of her attitude,” Heather says. The ring bearer wore a simple gray suit.
It was important to Heather and Brady to keep their wedding very intimate so they could talk to each guest individually.
