A Simple Destination Wedding at Olowalu Plantation House in Maui, Hawaii

Since Sarah Dennis (30 and a nurse) and Scott Dennis (32 and a preschool teacher) shared a deep love for the ocean, it was no surprise they chose to have their destination wedding at the Olowalu Plantation House in Maui, Hawaii. The couple fell in love with the venue’s rustic charm, surrounded by tropical palm trees and breathtaking oceanic views. The ceremony took place on the lawn that was minimally decorated with rose petals lining the aisle, leading up to the simple archway draped with white linens. Sarah chose to wear a simple yet elegant strapless wedding dress designed by Watters from the Wtoo collection, wrapped with a white sash accented with a fabric flower. At the outdoor reception, dining tables were dressed in white and blue lines, draped with burlap runners and decorated with colorful flowers arranged in mason jars, all captured on camera by Jennifer Bagwell Photography. We loved their nontraditional spin on a guest book that incorporated Scott’s love for surfing and the couple’s overall love for the ocean. “Scott loves surfing, so I made sure to include that in our wedding, since it’s a big part of who we are and had my dad make our surfboard sign in place of a guest book," Sarah says.
