A Simple, Coastal Wedding at Semiahmoo Resort in Blaine, Washington
Shannon Murray (27 and a medical receptionist) and Ryan Moore (29 and a naval architect) met online and instantly knew there was a connection between them, even before meeting in person. For their first date, they met at the Seattle ferry terminal and had dinner at a pub near the water. Hours quickly passed getting to know each other, one date turned into two, and Shannon and Ryan were steadily dating before they knew it. Shannon and her best friends planned a camping trip together, but while they were on their way they realized they forgot some crucial supplies (marshmallows, to be exact.) However, this was no mistake. Shannon’s friends had been plotting with Ryan so he could have an excuse to stop by later on that evening. So instead of Ryan coming to drop off supplies, he dropped down on one knee instead and proposed to Shannon. The couple had their wedding at Semiahmoo Resort in Blaine, Washington, where Shannon had spent weekends with her family as a child and was conveniently located close to her home. Their ceremony took place on the dock with gorgeous surrounding views of Puget Sound. Simple glass vases with candles were tied to folding chairs with rope and decorated the aisle. The pier-side tented reception had round white dining tables with gray striped table runners and blue hydrangea centerpieces. The reception d?cor complemented the gray, white and navy color palette, which was inspired by the Seattle Seahawks. Not only did the couple base their colors off of their beloved team, but also had a non-traditional guest signing on the Seahawks 12th Man flag that they brought home to decorate their living room with.
