Kristina Yoder (22, a seamstress) and Aaron Yoder (21, a trim carpenter) met while volunteering at a kids club called Frog Pond. Aaron went on a mission trip in Haiti for one year, and during that time Kristina and Aaron started dating. They began a long distance relationship that lasted until Aaron came home to Ohio, and less than one year after dating, Aaron proposed to Kristina where they had their first date. The couple had their ceremony and reception at Light in the Valley Chapel in Sugarcreek, Ohio where the simple wedding occasion came to life. A color palette of royal blue and gold was chosen, which was incorporated into the wedding invitation design, linens at dining tables and even the feathered cake topper. Centerpiece arrangements were made with white roses accented with baby’s breath and royal blue feathers, surrounded by a vintage looking novel that had table numbers. A menu that complimented the fall season was served to guests, ranging from apples drizzled with caramel to an apple-flavored punch beverage. Since Kristina and Aaron shared a love for playing music and singing, the wedding favors were a small wooden guitar magnet with the couple’s names and wedding date, reflecting the special days that guests could always remember.
