A Shabby-Chic Wedding in Southfork Ranch in Parker, Texas

Mary Martha Murphy (24 and a law student) and Preston Murphy (27 and in insurance technology) met through the University of Texas Water Ski Team. They got married at Southfork Ranch in Parker, Texas, under a gazebo outdoors, and hosted their reception indoors in a banquet room. “We loved the look of the beautiful, sprawling grounds and thought it would be a great complement to our wedding style,” says Mary Martha. They chose a light peach, blue and gray color palette with accents of green for a rustic, shabby-chic atmosphere with classic country charm. The couple provided great food and a band for their guests to have a memorable and fun time, and sent everyone home with a jar of Texas honey thanking them for being there. At the end of the reception, Mary Martha and Preston made their grand exit in a horse-drawn carriage. “It was so special to be surrounded by everyone we love so much,” says the couple.
