A Shabby Chic Wedding at the Oaks Waterfront Inn and Events in Easton, Maryland
Adding details that looked like they were straight out of a historical love story added a romantic warmth to Jackie Cozza (26 and a budget analyst) and Greg Sanderson’s (28 and in law enforcement) fall wedding. The couple wanted their day to perfectly bring together classic, rustic and vintage, which they definitely accomplished. Choosing a location that fulfilled their vision was really important, and the Oaks Waterfront Inn and Events in Easton, Maryland, was everything they hoped it would be. “We both fell in love with the home-style vintage country feel,” Jackie says. “Greg stepped onto the venue and said this felt like a home away from home. Getting married outside on a gorgeous November day underneath an array of flowers surrounded by our family and friends was the best element of our day. Looking back at our photos, I could not have pictured a more perfect day at a more perfect location to become a wife.” Sarah Campbell from Intrigue Designs created all the lush floral arrangements for the day using succulents, thistle, dusty miller and roses. One of Jackie’s favorite parts was her bouquet. “I fell in love with my bridal bouquet the moment I saw it,” she says. “It fit my theme to a T. The moment I picked it up, I felt like a bride.” Jackie and Greg used a mint, peach, ivory and gold color palette and completed the look with lanterns, wood and even pumpkins. Meaghan Elliott Photography beautifully captured all the details of the day. We loved the letter-inspired escort cards as well as the doorknob table numbers. Straight out of a Nicholas Sparks book, the details were the perfect touch to the vintage, shabby chic wedding.
