A Shabby-Chic Wedding at Mildale Farms in Edgerton, Kansas

rn Having both gone to Kansas State University, Samantha Hollingsworth (22 and a special education teacher) and Kent Hollingsworth (23 and a restaurant manager) knew they wanted to show their Wildcats pride with purple in their palette. They easily paired it with shades yellow and white—mostly through gorgeous sunflower and wildflower arrangements from Good Earth Floral Design Studio—for a bold palette perfect for their shabby-chic soiree. Wedding planner Hannah Klamann from Weddings by Hannah worked with Samantha and Kent to combine chalkboards with white drapery and candles with burlap to bring their country-inspired vision to life. "It really did take a small village to create this wonderful wedding," Samantha says. "We got lucky that Mildale Farms was already incredibly beautiful, and it didn't take much to make it fit what I had envisioned." It was another bonus that between the barn and two houses, Samantha, Kent and their friends and family enjoyed a four-day getaway in Edgerton, Kansas.
