A Shabby Chic Mountain Wedding at Jackson Lake Lodge in Moran, Wyoming
Shannon Hittesdorf (27 and works in real estate) and Chris Hittesdorf (31 and a software engineer) decided to have a shabby chic wedding with a perfect mix of rustic and classic details. They used an ivory and blue color palette and accented it with red and yellow at the reception. In honor of their mountain venue, they used rustic details such as pinecones, wood and mason jars throughout the decor, and even made a lot of the details themselves. The couple created all the pinecone escort cards with ivory and silver ribbons and simple ivory paper as well as the pinecone and pine needle chair tie decor. Wood rounds and mason jars filled with alstroemerias, scabiosas, daisies and veronica or wood rounds topped with pillar candles added a little personalization and romance to each of the tables. Shannon and Chris chose to get married at Jackson Lake Lodge in the Grand Teton Mountains in Moran, Wyoming, because they are both from the Rockies, love the outdoors and come to the Tetons every other summer for vacation. So, the area became their spot, which was only fitting for their wedding. Plus, they wanted a destination where both families could meet and have an entire weekend getaway together. After their intimate ceremony, they had a mountain-inspired dinner including Teton steak and trout complete with moose-shaped butter!
