Kelsie Davidson, 22, works in promotions and marketing, and Alex Rorie, 21, student at the University of Missouri, met their senior year of high school through a mutual friend. The couple had an outdoor shabby chic wedding with mint greens, bright corals and DIY details.

We wanted our wedding to reflect Jesus and who He is and what He means to us, Kelsie says. The welcome sign included a scripture from Song of Solomon 3:4.
The groomsmen wore charcoal gray suits with mint green ties to match the bridesmaids mint green cocktail-length dresses.

The bridesmaids wore cocktail-length mint green dresses with a lace bottom from Kohls. They completed the shabby-chic look with taupe wedges for the ceremony and cowboy boots for the reception.
Kelsie wore a lace A-line dress with a sweetheart neckline from Davids Bridal. Decorated with pearls and clear sequins, It was just the right amount of sparkle, she says.
The bride carried pink roses, coral peonies and green hydrangeas.
The flower girls wore bright coral lace dresses from Target. They completed the shabby-chic look with cowboy boots and a babys breath and rose flower crown.
The ring bearers wore khaki pants with coral suspenders from Etsy.They were TOO cute! the bride says.
The program was written on a chalkboard at the ceremony entrance.
The programs were made into fans for the day of the wedding in case it was warm. Doing a DIY wedding was so fun and made everything so special, Kelsie says.
Kelsie and Alex exchanged vows in Kelsies 25-acre backyard. Our yard looked over the field and it was beautiful, Kelsie says.
Alex and the brides grandfather created a door that opened and closed for the bride to enter through. The brides grandmother decorated it with babys breath and scripture from Mark 10:8.
Shepherd hooks held blue mason jars wrapped in burlap and filled with roses and babys breath.
A vintage dresserwhich the couple found at a large item pickup weekendsat at the front of the aisle holding a giant window that Alex found in the trash somewhere. They took out all the glass and decorated it with coral and white flowers. It was so perfect, and just what I wanted, Kelsie says.
Kelsie and Alex met their senior year of high school through a mutual friend. They became Facebook friends and began messaging for a few weeks. Then, Kelsie played in a soccer tournament, and Alex came to watch. Let me tell you, I looked great (not!). I had no makeup on, I had played three soccer games and smelled like roses, Im sure, she says. That didnt seem to bother him. We met that night for the first time.
Kelsie and Alex took their first steps to the chorus of Best Day of My Life by American Authors.
Kelsie and Alex had their reception on Kelsies deck and in her barn. She loved all the rustic burlap and shabby chic details because they separated her home from the ceremony and reception.
A giant A and K monogram was painted onto burlap to help separate the wedding from Kelsies home.
Kelsie and Alex used an old box springs decorated with Christmas lights and paper flowers to hang photos of their past.
The night before my wedding I woke up at 4:30 a.m., and I couldnt sleep, Kelsie says. I was so excited that my tummy was turning in knots. My sister and cousin were sleeping with me in my room and out of nowhere my sister yelled, Dont forget the banana pancakes, Im serious! and was completely asleep. It totally helped my nerves.
The couple enjoyed a three-layer tan cake tied with raffia and topped with peonies.
