A Shabby Chic, Bohemian Mountain Wedding at Deer Creek Valley Ranch in Bailey, Colorado

Brittny Kolod (25 and a teacher) and Dillon Blechar (26 and a teacher) met in college at Colorado State University. Dillion proposed in Florida when they were at a friend’s wedding. For their own wedding, they chose Deer Creek Valley Ranch in Bailey, Colorado, for its breathtaking meadow and Mt. Evans backdrop. Although it poured down rain during the ceremony, they didn’t let it stop them. They gave guests umbrellas and huddled together. “It made for a short ceremony,” Brittny says. They originally planned to have cocktail hour outside, but moved into the ballroom because of the storm. “It worked out nicely because our guests got to be more acquainted and it felt very homey with the thunderstorm outside,” Brittny says. They used a neutral, earthy color palette of white, gray and champagne throughout the day. They added shabby chic, bohemian details such as the skeleton key escort cards, herb wreath place cards and metal house number table numbers. The lush, white, wildflower-inspired floral arrangements were displayed on top of vintage books for a more whimsical feel.  Instead of a traditional wedding cake, the couple served a variety of pies from Humble Pie. At the end of the night, Brittny and Dillion sent guests home with Bloody Mary kits, which were much appreciated the next morning.
