A Second Line Parade Made This New Orleans Wedding at Race and Religious Even More Festive

Caroline Sobiesuo and Andrew Matina may be based in Brooklyn, New York, but a destination wedding in The Big Easy was a must since they love the, "French aesthetic, romance, soul music (groom has produced soul music), and mystery of New Orleans. We visited New Orleans together 3 years ago and decided that where we would do it when the time was right."  Beyond selecting a city that is full of personality, the couple's chosen wedding venue was the epitome of romance and charm. "I wanted our wedding to be full of natural greenery and clean white florals, minimal, elegant, classic with the unique venue offering the flair. I loved the idea of stumbling upon a romantic courtyard and having an intimate ceremony and Race & Religious offered just that vibe," Caroline shares. To complement the space, the couple had minimal décor with, "greenery and white florals throughout. I splurged on a bouquet of white orchids. Centerpieces included white flower, some roses. It all tied back to a greenery with white florals look." As for advice for future to-be-weds, Caroline had this to share: "Create a tracker and track everything! Hire a day of or month of coordinator if you can- even if you think you can do it all. This helps so much to bring all pieces to life and have a stress free wedding day. Focus on the elements that are most important to you and don't stress about the others."
