A Secluded Garden Wedding at Marie Gabrielle Restaurant and Gardens in Dallas, Texas

From the looks of this secluded garden wedding, you would never know it was in uptown Dallas, Texas. As soon as Amy Moore (27 and a teacher) saw Marie Gabrielle Restaurant and Gardens, she knew it was where she wanted to marry Josh Moore (29 and a sports marketing consultant). “One could completely forget where you are until you look up and gaze out at the skyscrapers and city lights,” the bride says. A soft color palette of lavender, silver and ivory played up the romance of the fall, especially with the abundance of flowers and wooden elements. “My florist, the Good Garden, nicknamed the theme of the reception as a woodland wonderland,” the bride says. Everything about this wedding felt simple and relaxed, including the cocktail hour and reception menu of Southern comfort foods, including a fried green tomato salad, beef sliders, shrimp and grits, and of course, chicken and waffles! At the reception, Josh planned a big surprise for his bride and brought in an unforgettable guest: the singer who played the night they met. “Josh had me completely fooled—it was such an awesome surprise,” Amy says. The bride offers advice to future couples planning their weddings: “There’s a lot of work and fun that goes into the wedding-planning process. In the end, it’s all worth it. Try to be present in the moment, because it all goes by so fast. Ultimately, you’re married to the one you love, and that’s all that matters.” See the details, beautifully captured by Joshua Aull Photography, below.
