A Scenic, Winter Wedding at Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards in North Garden, Virginia

Anna Broan (28 and in higher education advancement) and Grant Millsaps (27 and in consulting) met while working in Birmingham, Alabama. Grant followed Anna to Charlottesville, Virginia after she got a job there. One of the first Virginia vineyards they visited as a couple was Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards, which features breathtaking vistas of the surrounding mountains. Little did they know that this vineyard would be the site of their proposal and future wedding. Their winter wedding was classic and gorgeous in soft pink, white, green and dusty purple, which looked beautiful against the backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains. "We wanted everything to be seasonally appropriate without being overly 'wintry,'" says Anna. After a traditional church ceremony, guests were treated to tomato soup shots and grilled cheese bites along with a variety of other passed hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour, which was held on the barn's heated patio. The reception was held in the warm and inviting barn, which was cozy with string lighting and lounge seating. Anna looked beautiful in a romantic Lela Rose wedding dress with a lace illusion back. Her bridesmaids wore dusty purple Amsale dresses and fur coats to shield against the chill. Grant and the groomsmen dressed classically in black tuxedos and bow ties. "I was so nervous on the morning of the wedding, until Grant and I did our first look," says Anna. "When I saw him, I instantly felt calmed and ready to enjoy the day with our friends and family."
