A Rustic Yet Elegant Fall Wedding at The Global Center in Cleveland, Ohio

With the Cleveland cityscape as their backdrop, Piper Gustafson (26 and a sales director) and Jared Youtzy (29 and an advertising account executive) worked with a local planner to achieve their desired elegant, rustic design. “We wanted our wedding to reflect the romance of fall with lots of candlelight, warm hues and organic, flowing foliage in bright pops of color,” Piper says. The couple sealed the deal beneath a nine-foot-high floral arch before celebrating with an open-air cocktail hour, which featured a string quartet and passed bites. “Our ceremony was like this little slice of green surrounded by the city,” Piper says of exchanging vows in the outdoor mall next to their venue. “My aunt, mother and two cousins-in-law have all been married in that veil,” Piper says of her statement accessory. “I was so honored to be included in the tradition.” At the indoor reception, the focus was on the food. The seasonal menu included butternut squash soup, sweet potato croquettes and pumpkin spice panna cotta. Later in the evening, a taco truck served up late-night snacks. “People still say it was the highlight of the wedding,” Piper says.
