A Rustic Winter Wedding at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in Teton Village, Wyoming
Merril Hermanson and Josh Pope knew their winter wedding would be snowy, but they weren't expecting a full-on blizzard. But despite the freezing temperatures and flurries, they had an outdoor ceremony at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. Merril kept warm with a Ralph Lauren cashmere sweater sewn onto the skirt of an Oscar de la Renta dress (which Merrill bought in high school for a debutante ball). "Even though it was practically homemade, the result was elegant and perfect, and I wouldn't have wanted anything different," she said. Guests bundled up in coats to brave the chill, and the bridesmaids wore matching white puffer jackets. The newlyweds skied away from the ceremony before arriving at the rustic indoor reception. "We used lanterns and smaller greenery on the tables, and then high cherry blossom stalks to signify the start of spring," Merril says. White and green décor kept with the "winter" theme of the wedding. The couple also had a custom #AllTimeConditions sign, which called out the day's weather, and a tiered cupcake display. "Of course, we didn't plan the blizzard, but it turned out to be the best part," Merril says. "I think every guest came up to me and said they will never, ever forget our wedding. It was one of a kind and truly magical."
