A Rustic Winter Barn Wedding at Plantation Farms in Byron, Georgia
Stephanie Stutz (42 and a physician) and Kevin Angle's (41 and an IT professional) converted horse barn wedding warmed their winter date with understated rustic decor and DIY accents. The couple was drawn to Plantation Farm's expansive surroundings and utilized the pastures for their first look. "The outside space included an open field and the simple nature feel is just our style," says Stephanie. A black, white and purple color palette contrasted with the warm barn setting. Vines along with purple Hershey kiss favors and mints surrounded black lantern centerpieces. The standout decor? Their romantic barn ceremony set-up! Glowing chandeliers, hanging linen and a cut-out monogram backdrop combined for a romantic-meets-rustic space. After Stephanie and Kevin exchanged vows, they treated guests to a low country boil dinner finished with frosted cupcakes. A hot chocolate bar was set up as a special touch for the cold evening. "We knew that it was going to be a small wedding so the venue size was perfect," says Stephanie. "It was also important to have somewhere close to where we live to help with the planning!"
