A Rustic White Wedding at The Pines at Genesee in Golden, Colorado

Kylie Hayes (23 and an administrative assistant) and Paul Hogfeldt (25 and a corrections officer) met at Anytime Fitness in Windsor, Colorado. Paul proposed in their home, which he decorated with flowers, candles, chocolates and champagne. The Pines at Genesee was an easy choice for their wedding because of its ceremony location in the forest and the contemporary ballroom reception space, which provided the perfect balance between whimsical woodland and modern mountain. The couple used white for their main color and accented it with gray and blue. All of the lush white floral arrangements included baby's breath and roses for a simple, chic look. Kyle and Paul had a small one-tier buttercream-frosted chocolate cake and guests enjoyed red velvet, white chocolate macadamia nut and chocolate cupcakes by B Sweet Cupcakes. One of the best parts, though, was the first dance. “Paul prerecorded himself singing our first dance song, ‘Wanted’ by Hunter Hayes,” Kylie says. “I started crying when I realized the voice was Paul’s. I still cry every time I listen to it!”
