A Rustic Western Wedding at Willow Creek Wedding & Event Venue in Waxahachie, Texas
Willow Creek Wedding & Event Venue in Waxahachie, Texas, was the perfect spot for Amanda Conley (21 and in health care) and Justin Conley’s (21 and works in a chemical plant) Western wedding. The bride loved how the farmland is tucked away down a country road and how accessible it was for her relatives throughout east Texas. And just in case the wedding day wasn't sunny, the venue offered back-up plans for inclement weather—you never know what will happen with Texas weather, after all. True to their home state, the wedding party dressed in Western fashions. Amanda paired her ruffled wedding dress with cowboy boots, and her bridesmaids wore coral lace dresses with denim jackets and cowboy boots. The groom wore a brown Western jacket and his groomsmen wore turquoise vests, all paired with jeans, cowboy boots and cowboy hats. “We decided on this look because my husband loves bull riding and we grew up around cowboy boots and Western attire,” Amanda says. To continue the theme, they incorporated mason jars, burlap, pearls and wood into their decor with pops of coral and turquoise flowers and accents. Amanda’s favorite details? “My wooden signs made of cedar were hand-painted by a friend with special sayings that I requested, such as ‘He stole my heart, so I stole his last name,’ and in memory of our grandparents, ‘If Heaven wasn’t so far away, I know you would be here today.’ ” See the details, captured by Dream Focus Studio, below.
