A Rustic, Western Wedding at Relics Restaurant and Roadhouse in Sedona, Arizona
Guests at the southwestern wedding of Summer Jackson (28 and an evaluation specialist) and Luke Tarbi (32 and in marketing) were totally immersed in the natural beauty and colors of northern Arizona, which the couple is proud to call home. Summer and Luke worked with Dette’s Events to design their rustic wedding theme around the red rocks and local scenery: A color palette of artichoke purple, sage green, Sedona red and taupe evoked the hues of the mountain backdrop at the Sedona Heritage Museum, where Summer and Luke exchanged their vows. “We chose the Sedona Heritage Museum as our ceremony location as a nod to the history of the city,” Summer says. They hosted a traditional western cocktail hour and reception at Relics Restaurant and Roadhouse, complete with an Irish band, Trotters Wake, playing pub songs as guests enjoyed local beer selections. "It was a tribute to my Irish background, Luke’s Boston background, and our shared love of pubs,” the bride says. A special DIY wedding detail: Summer’s mother made the couple’s traditional English wedding cake, complete with purple ribbon around each round tier. “We’ve kept the top portion to eat on our anniversary,” Summer says. The bride offers advice for future couples: “The whole day goes by too quickly, so try to take it all in. You can never have enough photos, so as soon as you talk to someone, snap a photo.” See the wedding details captured by SJA Studios, below.
