A Rustic Wedding With Mountain Views at Le Belvedere in Ontario, Canada

Ben and Miggy originally planned on having a large wedding with family and friends flying in from around the world to enjoy the fall foliage in Canada. However, the pandemic forced the couple to pivot their event into a smaller celebration that ended up being totally worth it. "Reducing the scale of the event, however, allowed us to really reflect on our relationship and what we wanted our wedding to be. The more intimate gathering allowed us to focus on each other. We decided to forgo the writing of vows, and instead wrote letters to each other. These letters allowed us to look back at all of the amazing memories of our journey together so far, and they allowed us to wait with anticipation for all that’s to come. Joining the COVID-19 wedding club made us realize that our wedding was not the start of something new, but a commitment to the shared journey we are already on. If we learned anything, it’s that although a wedding should be an occasion for extravagance it is, more importantly, an opportunity to reflect on your journey of love together, where you have come from and where you dream to go," explains the couple of their intimate pandemic wedding at Le Belvedere in Ontario, Canada.

Despite the intimate headcount, Ben and Miggy still filled their wedding with ample personalization and plenty of meaningful details. The couple initially met in Quebec so poutine and sugar pie were included on the menu as a nod to their root. Additionally, "Ben's brother, Josh, and his girlfriend, Natasha, sang 'The Best of Friends,' from the Fox and the Hound, at the conclusion of the ceremony for our first dance. That's our song," says Miggy. "Our best friend, Hannah, officiated the ceremony. She wrote an amazing script for it." Add to cap it all off, the couple festively included plenty of Disney references throughout the day.
