A Rustic Wedding at Willow Creek Falls in Blue Ridge, Georgia

It was no surprise to anyone when Riley Gundakunst, 24, a bamboo fly rod maker proposed to Quinn Gudakunst, 25, a shop manager. The pair, who had been friends since they were six years old, started dating during their junior and senior years of high school and have been inseparable ever since. Riley popped the question one night in January on an evening out with friends, getting down on one knee in the right in the middle of the sidewalk on the way to the brewery, where they were headed, their friends appearing almost out of nowhere to capture the moment in video and pictures. A winter proposal turned into a cheerful rustic chic wedding right in the heart of Blue Ridge, GA. The couple kicked off the day with an outdoor ceremony at Willow Creek Falls, surrounded by manicured lawns and a quaint lake dotted with willow trees that created a picturesque backdrop for the affair. Burlap and lace accents, mason jars and bright summer blooms like sunflowers and hydrangeas were touches that allowed the couple to achieve the rustic aesthetic they were after. Pops of bright blue amongst a sea of soft neutral tones added a cheery note to the décor. Personal touches like fly fishing boutonnieres, a nod to Riley's work and love of fishing, a humorous fly fishing cake topper, vintage family photos and even a ceremony bagpiper added a fun, unique touch that highlighted the personalities of both the bride and groom.
