rn Alyssa Sheehan (28 and a restaurant manager) and Christyn Grillo (28 and a registered nurse) met through a mutual friend in college. “We’re strong believers in ‘less is more,’ ” Alyssa says, so they played up their barn bash with white linens, market lights and garlands. “We knew we wanted to get married on Long Island, since we both grew up there,” Alyssa says of booking a barn in Bethpage. “Christyn grew up riding horses, so we fell in love as soon as we saw it.” The couple’s two dogs tagged along for the outdoor ceremony. At the reception, nearly 200 guests looked on as the newlyweds swayed to Adele’s rendition of “Make You Feel My Love.”
