A Rustic Wedding at Lindenau Dance Hall in Cuero, Texas

“My wedding style was based on four things,” Alexis Rhodes (22 and a student) says of her wedding to Brady Boehl (25 and an insurance salesman). “Greenery, soft lighting, anything metal and rusty, neutral colors.” Their natural, rustic wedding in Cuero, Texas, began with a ceremony at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, which they both attend together, followed by a reception at Lindenau Dance Hall, where tents spread outside allowed the couple to accommodate their 500 guests. Soft pink hues, peach and champagne with string lights and drapery throughout the venue created a romantic, rustic vibe. Alexis’ lace wedding dress evoked a complementary vintage style: “I love the vintage look, and to me, all the lace captured that perfectly.” Texas Rhythm DJ got guests dancing, and helped create a special moment for Alexis and Brady. “One of my favorite parts in the night was our dance together,” Alexis says. “We didn’t have the romantic dance most people expect, but that’s just us. We incorporated our friends and sang the whole thing.” Her advice to future brides is that “when something doesn’t go right the day of the wedding, the only person that will know is you. Some things don’t go as planned, but it’s okay. No one knows but you.”
