Giovana Melo (33 and a volleyball coach) and Trisha Lacey (31 and a physician assistant) weren't sure what kind of wedding style they wanted, so they started with their venue. Because they both love wine, the couple decided to get married at a vineyard: Jasper Winery in Des Moines, Iowa . From there, Giovana and Trisha decided on a rustic wedding style that fit their surroundings. The outdoor ceremony took place under a wedding arch decorated with garlands, and the altar area was flanked by wine barrels to fit the vineyard setting. A black structure framed the entrance to the ceremony area, where guests were greeted with a chalkboard sign that read "Choose a seat, not a side...either way it's for a bride!" The following reception took place in a hall at the winery that was surrounded by wine barrels stacked against the walls. Against one wall of barrels, Giovana and Trisha set up a dessert table with a variety of cookies and cakes and the square tiered wedding cake at its center. Our favorite detail from this beautiful wedding? As a fun activity, Giovana and Trisha had their guests vote for different challenges for the bridal party. The dance-off challenge won, so the newlyweds showed off their moves on the dance floor. Photojournalist Andrea Bibeault was there to capture all of the day's great moments.

Giovana and Trisha gave their guests blue and white fans for their outdoor ceremony. The fans doubled as wedding programs.
Both Giovana and Trisha carried sleek bouquets with white calla lilies, blue wildflowers and branches. The bouquets were wrapped in cobalt blue ribbon.
Giovana and Trisha both wore strapless wedding dresses from Emma and Grace Bridal Studio, but they didn't see each other's dresses until the wedding day. Trisha wore a simple dress with an embellished sash at the waist. Giovana wore a gown with lace details throughout the bodice and the skirt.
Guests were invited to sit anywhere at the outdoor ceremony. The chalkboard welcome sign read "Choose a seat, not a side...either way it's for a bride!"
The beginning of the ceremony aisle was framed by a black structure to mark the entrance of the ceremony space.

At the reception, Giovana and Trisha set up three jars with chalkboard signs that had different activities for the bridal party. The newlyweds and their bridesmaids had to do whichever jar got the most votes in the form of dollars won. (The dance-off won!)
Giovana and Trisha had an extensive dessert table at their reception. At the center of the table was the white wedding cake on a tall glass stand. The square tiered cake was decorated with cobalt blue ribbon.
Because their guests voted for a dance-off, Giovana and Trisha showed off their moves on the dance floor! All the kids joined in. "It turned into a dance-off between the kids," Trisha says. "It was very cute."
