A Rustic Wedding at Camp Lucy in Dripping Springs, Texas

Stacie Fox (29 and a customer auditor) and Shawn Winters (28 and an oilfield operator) went to the same high school and had mutual friends but didn't connect until after college when they were reunited at a bar. After several tries, Shawn got Stacie out on a date; the fifth time was a charm. Later, what Stacie thought was an ordinary anniversary trip to New Orleans turned into a surprise proposal with all of her family and friends waiting at a restaurant. The couple had their wedding at Camp Lucy in Dripping Springs, Texas, which offered a gorgeous view and grounds in the Texas Hill Country. The rustic ceremony chapel featured exposed wooden beams and a beautiful stone arch on the outside. Stacie chose an ivory Tara Keely wedding dress with a sweetheart neckline and layered lace bottom. Shawn wore a gray suit with a navy vest and tie and the groomsmen wore gray vests with navy ties, matching the navy bridesmaid dresses. Stacie wanted a rustic theme throughout the wedding, so she incorporated lace and burlap accents throughout the decor. Stacie felt strongly about incorporating some of her Baton Rouge heritage into the couple's wedding traditions, so their grand exit was a Second Line complete with decorated umbrellas from Etsy and hand stamped handkerchiefs for their guests. "We had the typical Second Line music playing and we were dancing and spinning our umbrellas walking through the aisle of guests waving their handkerchiefs," says Stacie. "A lot of the people attending had never seen a Second Line before, so it was special to us."
