A Rustic, Waterfront Wedding at Lutsen Resort in Lutsen, Minnesota

When a neighbor asked Sacha (31 and a director of membership at an environmental initiative) to attend a friend's party, she had no idea she was about to meet her future husband, Aaron (29 and a senior creative at AKQA). "My neighbor brought me to Aaron's as a wingman in case the party as a dud," Sacha says. "We got there early and Aaron and I chatted for a bit after he gave us a tour of his place. At the end of the night, he asked for my number and called three days later. The rest is history!" When searching for the perfect venue for their August wedding in northern Minnesota, the bride suggested Lutsen Resort -- a venue she had frequented with her family growing up. "Aaron and I love being up north, so we went for a visit and it timed up perfectly with a wedding that day. We got to see how the day would unfold and fell in love with the place." Thanks to rustic details -- including a wooden wedding arch and simple wildflower centerpieces -- the couple pulled off a picturesque northern woods-themed wedding on the shores of Lake Superior. "We exchanged vows on the grassy area overlooking the lake" the bride says. "it was the perfect weather and the perfect day."
