A Rustic, Vintage Wedding at The Waterloo Rod and Gun Club in St. Jacobs, Ontario

Nicole and Patrick always knew they wanted a rustic, antique wedding theme. "Patrick and I are such a laid back couple; sparkly and frilly things are just not us," Nicole explains. The couple decorated their reception space at The Waterloo Rod and Gun Club in St. Jacobs, Ontario with burlap and lace. Lovely floral arrangements of Baby's Breath in mason jars by Kelly's Greens added a soft touch to the rustic theme. Since the couple also shared similar backgrounds (German, Austrian and Scottish) the wedding also reflected their Scottish heritage: Patrick and his groomsmen wore traditional kilts for the ceremony, and traditional German dishes were served for dinner. Personal details, like the bridesmaids wearing pearls to honor Nicole's grandmother and antique horse and baseball bat decor to reflect the couple's hobbies brought the entire theme together. "The whole day itself was a complete reflection of Patrick and I. Nearly everything had a meaning or special purpose," Nicole says.
