A Rustic Vintage Wedding at Red Corral Ranch in Wimberley, Texas
Annora Herrera (23 and a teacher) and Adam Giese (24 and a web developer) went to the same high school, but only started spending significant time together during group hangouts with their high school friends while attending Baylor University. These group hangouts dwindled into smaller groups until eventually their love for movies, food, family time and superheroes brought them together as a couple. Adam graduated a year before Annora to pursue a master's degree in Phoenix, so the couple's relationship became long distance. On one of Annora's visits, Adam took her on a "restaurant hopping" date before proposing by the river. The couple was married at Red Corral Ranch in Blanco, Texas. "The landscaping of the venue was gorgeous and well kept even in the hot Texas summer, and also has lodging which was convenient for hosting the bridal party," says Annora. "It made my wedding seem like a getaway without the hustle and bustle of real travel." Annora wore a Justin Alexander ivory lace and tulle mermaid style gown with a charming sweetheart neckline. It featured a Queen Anne cap sleeve tulle and lace jacket with a lustrous beaded trim at the natural waistline and fabric buttons that enclosed the jacket. Coral is one of the bride's favorite colors, so the wedding palette consisted of coral, navy, burlap and lace. The wedding theme was rustic yet whimsical. It was important to the bride to put her own touch on the wedding, so she did a lot of the decorating herself. "Our wedding was very relaxed, just as we are, and our guests felt that," says Annora.
