A Rustic, Vintage Wedding at Mountain Laurel Farms in Cleveland, Georgia

Picture this: A sweet Southern wedding in front of a red barn, surrounded by green rolling hills and a tree-lined north Georgia mountain backdrop. That’s exactly what you can expect from Mountain Laurel Farms in Cleveland, Georgia, which is why Erica Radford (24 and an administrative assistant) and Jon Campbell (24 and a resident director) were so excited to get married there. “This place is amazingly beautiful on its own,” Erica says. “It was everything I could have dreamed.” Inspired by her champagne-colored wedding dress, they went with a palette of gold paired with lavender and soft greens, which they accomplished with arrangements of dried lavender, baby’s breath and eucalyptus from the Lavender Cottage and Garden. Signature Weddings by Christine & Tabitha kept everything on schedule, making sure Erica and Jon had their best day ever. Their heartfelt ceremony took place outside the barn, where they exchanged their vows underneath a wedding arch of vintage doors. The processional was Erica’s favorite moment of the day: As she walked down the aisle, Jon played guitar and performed a song he wrote just for her. “Everything else just melted away in that moment—nothing else mattered,” Erica says. (Excuse us while we grab the tissues!) Later, following a social hour of lawn games, Erica, Jon and their guests enjoyed a delicious family-style pasta dinner with their loved ones in the rustic barn, filled with vintage decor from their families that created an air of timelessness. Dessert was definitely a highlight: Their families created a seriously scrumptious pie bar, and their wedding cake by Sherry Moriarty of Cakelady & Company was gold!
