Erin Thompson (29 and a prekindergarten teacher) and Todd Krasick (27 and a sheet metal worker) met while at the Peanut watching a local band play. About two years later, Todd proposed. He came home from work one day, sat down next to her and smiled. “The next thing I knew, he was down on one knee asking me to marry him, and I cried,” Erin says. “The way he proposed completely describes our love for each other. It was intimate, sincere, from the heart and perfect.” Inspired by their venue, Acquaint Gathering, Erin and Todd used vintage details throughout their wedding. “I strayed away from trends and focused on roses, lace and gentle splashes of color,” Erin says. She chose blush pink because it was subtle. The centerpieces, done by florist Village Gardens, were displayed in vintage teapots to keep with the romantic theme. The couple completed their day with DIY details such as the homemade pink wedding cake, which was made by Todd’s mother. From the Bride: “Our wedding truly reflects how Todd and I are as a couple: sincere and thankful,” Erin says. “We wanted a small, intimate wedding and that is exactly what transpired. I hope my graciousness made guests feel loved because Todd and I literally appreciate each and every single one of them.”

“The color palette and wedding style of our wedding reflects the vision I had once I stepped foot into Acquaint Gathering,” Erin says. “The vintage details, the teapots, the lace all inspired me to stay timeless.” The simple programs kept with the vintage, simple-colored theme.
Erin Getting Ready
“My twin sister was the only bridesmaid (so my maid of honor), and I found her dress at Modcloth.com,” Erin says. “The dress was also something she could wear again which was really important to me.”
Erin carried a full rose bouquet in shade of tan, white and pink. rn
“My husband bought his suit as well as his twin brother (his only groomsmen so his best man) from JC Penney’s,” Erin says. “They were slim fit and gray with a splash of color in the tie and boutonniere. They also wore colorful socks as a fun photo opportunity.”
Erin wore a single white roses on his lapel for a simple, clean look. rn
Erin and Todd First Kiss
Vintage silver teapots were filled with roses and lily of the valley for lush centerpieces, which were inspired by the vintage church. “I was lucky to have chosen a vendor that allowed me to use her beautiful teapots as my centerpieces,” Erin says. “I loved working with Dana Nigro at Village Gardens. She understood my vision and made gorgeous masterpieces out of the flower arrangements.”
Erin and Todd enjoyed a three-tiered pink wedding cake topped with garden roses and lily of the valley. Erin’s mother added a personal touch to the cake by purchasing love birds from Etsy. “I collect birds and it was so heartwarming to see how detailed our cakes were,” Erin says.
“My wedding dress was from a wonderful foundation called Brides Against Breast Cancer,” Erin says. “All dresses in this foundation are gently used and donated. All of which goes to breast cancer research. My dress was completely opposite of what I thought I would wear, but I fell in love with it the minute I put it on. It was strapless, simple and timeless.
