A Rustic Vineyard Wedding at Trump Winery in Charlottesville, Virginia

Michelle Mead, 24, a registered nurse, and Gerard Veglia, 23, a social worker, were introduced to each other through a mutual friend at James Madison University in Harrinsonburg, Virginia. They dated for over three years, and one afternoon the couple decided to eat lunch outside on the quad of their university. It was right then and there that Gerard proposed with an engagement ring and popped a bottle of champagne to start celebrating. When Michelle and Gerard starting looking at wedding venues, the couple had to keep in mind their fairly large number of 200 guests that they were inviting. The Grand Hall at Trump Winery in Charlottesville, Virginia gave them the space that they needed for the wedding, along with a beautiful historic vineyard to work with. Michelle and Gerard chose a color palette of charcoal gray and eggplant purple to compliment the rustic feel of the surrounding landscape, with a mix of roses, berries and ferns decorating the venue space. Each table at the reception was given a bottle of red and white wine made from the Trump Winery. Wedding favors were wine glasses engraved with the couple's names, filled with purple and silver chocolate kisses to match the theme.
