A Rustic Vineyard Wedding at Over the Vines in Edgerton, Wisconsin

Laurelyn Dexter (26 and a wedding photographer and graphic designer) and Jonathan Taglienti (25 and a musician and customer-service representative) brought their fall winery wedding to life with a neutral palette, with pops of olive green and marsala red, along with rustic wooden and metallic accents. “The picturesque setting amid fields and gently rolling hills was idyllic,” Laurelyn says of Over the Vines winery in Edgerton, Wisconsin. “The vineyard was an added interest for us, and we felt that guests would love the relaxed yet elegant setting as much as we did.” To personalize their wedding, Laurelyn, a graphic designer, tapped into her creative side with DIY projects. She screen-printed napkins and created the ceremony programs and linen pouches filled with wildflowers, which doubled as escort cards and favors. The bride's parents also joined in on the DIY action by building Laurelyn and Jonathan a rustic arbor out of loosely arranged branches. The college sweethearts used their laid-back personalities and sense of style as inspiration for their big day. “Living in the Midwest, we grew up simply, so our style for the day was rustic elegance,” Laurelyn says. “It was organic, relaxed and all about the experience.” —Marissa Hermanson
