Jan Springer (39, a stay-at-home mom) and Will Wu (39, a consultant) met while they were visiting Nashville, Tennessee for separate occasions. Jan was celebrating a friend’s birthday and Will was there for a bachelor party, but at one point their groups met and they got to exchange numbers. It turned out they were both living in Chicago and had been living in the same building for the past three years! One date turned into two, and before they knew it, they were in a serious relationship. One night, Will and Jan were taking a walk in the park before their dinner reservations. Jan thought Will tripped at one point, but really he stopped to take the diamond ring out of his sock and propose! The couple had their wedding ceremony and reception at the Harvest Inn in St. Helena, California that sat on beautiful lush property. The ceremony took place outside on the lawn, with the rolling hills of White Hall Lane Winery as their backdrop. For the reception, guests were taken inside the Inn’s natural space that also opened up onto an outdoor patio. By using a color palette of navy, green and ivory, the couple created a classic vineyard look for their wedding. Lavender, river rocks and rustic elements were used on the wood tables to add nice rustic touches. “Our goal for the entire weekend was to have our guests feel special and to thank them for attending our destination wedding,” says Jan.

Wedding Rings on Green Succulent
Jen held a bouquet of ivory peonies, ranunculus and roses accented with green succulents.
“My mom came with me and helped me pick out my dress, which was a Robert Bullock strapless dress with a lace bodice and organza skirt,” says Jan. “My absolute favorite part of the look was my "double bubble" veil that I wore from start to finish!”

“Will and I looked at several venues in Napa Valley, but knew instantly that we wanted to have our wedding at the Harvest Inn,” says Jan. “The property is beautifully landscaped with lush trees and plants wherever you look. The backdrop of our ceremony was the rolling hills of White Hall Lane Winery.”
First Kiss Under String Lights at Vineyard
Long wood dining tables were set up for the outdoor reception, right next to the surrounding vineyards at Harvest Inn.
Simple white escort cards were organized in a rustic wood box for guests to find their seats.
“Not wanting to compete with the beauty of wine country, we blended our wedding decor into the outdoor setting using fresh succulents in various shades of green, gorgeous cream and white flowers on the natural wood tables,” says Jan.
Simple white cards had blue table numbers printed on them surrounded by small rocks. A green succulent in a vase and candles were positioned nearby.
Blue and White Linens with Card
“The indoor space was very natural and opened up onto the patio which provided an indoor and outdoor experience for our guest to enjoy all evening,” says Jan. “We also loved that the property provided enough guest rooms to accommodate our entire group. Being able to spend time with our guests for the entire weekend was very important to us, and the Harvest Inn was able to allow us to have that experience.”rn
The three-tiered ivory wedding cake was wrapped with blue ribbon at the base of each layer. A couple green succulents decorated the cake on the top and side, and was surrounded by lush ivory and green flower arrangements on the table.
