A Rustic, Sunflower-Filled Wedding at Honey Lake Resort in Greenville, Florida

Combining religious songs, scientific stationery and rustic decor is not an easy feat. But Sarah Brooks (25 and a medical student) and Teegan Fiedler (24 and a medical student) flawlessly pulled it together in their ultra-personalized wedding. The entire celebration connected back to their relationship and Honey Lake Resort in Greenville, Florida. A religious service at the local chapel started it all, since Sarah and Teegan actively celebrate their faith. Noting that the Bible “shaped their lives,” they included their favorite Bible verses and hymns throughout the ceremony. Once everyone got to the reception, the couple brought out a symbol of their medical professions. Since they met in neuroanatomy class, Teegan surprised Sarah with a diagram of the human brain and corresponding labels to their seating chart. How sweet is that? The rest of their indoor reception included burlap and flower-filled decor. Every table alluded to the resort's natural setting with ornate sunflower, hydrangea and branch centerpieces that overflowed from each glass vase.
