A Rustic Summer Wedding at Granby Ranch in Granby, Colorado

Using shades of purple, yellow, pink, green and white paired with wood, mason jars and burlap, Lydia McPeek (24 and a fund-raising project manager) and MJ McPeek (25 and an oil and gas contractor) had a colorful, rustic summer wedding. We love how they pulled inspiration from the summer season as well as the mountaintop location at Granby Ranch in Granby, Colorado, to bring their vision to life. "Summer is my favorite time in the Rocky Mountains, and when we discovered that Granby did weddings, we couldn’t resist," Lydia says. "It truly is a hidden gem. The ceremony site was breathtaking. As you walk through a bed of aspen trees, the site opens up and overlooks the Rocky Mountains. It was perfect." After the stunning ceremony on top of the mountain, guests took the ski lift down the mountain to the Base Camp Lodge for dinner and dancing inside the rustic ballroom and on the patio. One of our favorite details was the ultra-personal touches Lydia and MJ added throughout their decor such as Lydia's great-grandparents' headboard-turned-chalkboard-sign and the Kentucky wooden round centerpieces, gorgeously cut and sealed by Lydia's father. There are so many details you have to see. Check them out, beautifully captured by Melissa Yocum Photography, below.
