A Rustic Summer Wedding at Factory 12 Loft in Columbus, Indiana

For their early summer wedding in Columbus, Ind., Jessica Oliver (23 and works for the Community Church of Columbus) and Jacob Foster (23 and a project manager) used a palette of playful peach and turquoise hues to bring the beauty of the season to their rustic celebration at Factory 12 Loft.

With their faith playing an important role in their lives, a traditional ceremony at Community Church of Columbus was an easy decision for the young couple. “We really wanted our wedding to be a celebration of the commitment we were making in front of God, our family and our friends,” says Jessica.

After exchanging vows, the couple made their getaway in a mint-colored vintage car, heading straight for Factory 12 Loft for a night of lively celebrations. Personalized touches could be found at every turn, giving the decor undeniable Jessica-and-Jacob flair. Beyond the bunches of peach and blush blooms and Ball jar accents that brought the charming old world interiors to life, elements like song-inspired table names, a guitar guest book and photographs told the story of the couple’s relationship. “Our reception was really a huge celebration of our new lives together,” says Jessica. “We had so much fun dancing the night away with our friends and family.”

A tip for the taking from Jessica: “My biggest piece of advice is don’t lose sight of the big picture. At the end of the wedding day, it’s about marrying your best friend. Enjoy every moment because it goes by so quickly. Don’t let the little details or the things that you just didn’t have time for ruin your idea of a wonderful wedding day. A practical piece of advice that I stole from a friend is to have someone other than yourself or your parents field everyone else’s questions. I had my godmother be my mistress of ceremonies and she made everything run smoothly! It was wonderful and that way on our wedding day no one came to me with questions or concerns so I could enjoy my day without that stress.”
